NEUTROPLUS provides methylcobalamin which is physiologically equivalent to vitamin B- 12, and is used to prevent pathology arising from a lack of vitamin B- 12.
The alphalipoic acid present in this drug prevents cell damage and restores levels of vitamin E and C. ALA improves the function of neurons in diabetes.It is an antioxidant that provides protection to the brain in case of damage or injury.
NEUTROPLUS contains benfotiamine which is an allithiamine that boosts Advanced Glycation Endproduct(AGE)- inhibiting thiamine pyrophosphate and activity of cell- shielding transketolase.
Another component of NEUTROPLUS is inositol which is a molecule with a similar structure as that of glucose. It is involved in cellular signalling. It is quite effective as an anxiolytic and also in resistance of insulin and PCOS.
Traces of the carotenoid vitamin lutein is seen in this drug. It is known as "the eye vitamin" which functions to protect the eye tissues from damage.
The zinc elements ensures a healthy immune system, proper synthesize of DNA, healthy growth during childhood, and healing of wounds.
NEUTROPLUS also supplies a little amount of folic acid. It is important for forming red and white blood cells. It participates in the DNA synthesis and cellular division.It also plays a key role as a "methyl donor" to regenerate methionine from homocysteine.
NEUTROPLUS can be taken by mouth with or without food. Have it after a meal if it upsets your stomach. Follow your doctor's advice on the dosage to be taken. It may depend on the age and health condition of the patient.

Inform your doctor of all the drugs you are taking. Do not miss out to mention if you are allergic to any of the components of NEUTROPLUS- methylcobalamin, alphalipoic acid, benfotiamine, inositol, lutein, zinc and folic acid.
Some of the components in NEUTROPLUS passes through breast-milk. Breast-feeding mothers are recommended not to use this drug.
Avoid eating grapefruit and drinking grapefruit juice while taking vitamin B12 tablets as NEUTROPLUS.
Limit alcohol consumption or completely avoid it.
The absorption of certain components may be decreased when taken along with neomycin, aminosalicylic acid, cimetidine and cochicine.
Missing a dose is not a cause for concern. Take the missed dose as soon as you remember it. Overdosage can be fatal
