WHAT DOES IT TREAT?

ORGAZEE treats different types of infections caused by bacteria, such as respiratory infections, skin infections, ear infections, and sexually transmitted diseases

MODE OF ACTION

ORGAZEE is a macrolide antibiotic. This azithromycin medication is a bacteriostatic drug that acts by inhibiting protein synthesis. It reversibly binds to 50S ribosomal sub units of sensitive micro organism. Azithromycin interferes with transpeptidaton and translocation inhibiting protein synthesis thereby causing inhibition of cell growth.

HOW TO USE?

ORGAZEE could be taken with or without food. The dose and length of treatment is different for every infection.

POSSIBLE SIDE-EFFECTS

The common side-effects are Diarrhea Nausea, vomiting, stomach pain and Headache

The serious side-effects are

  • Severe stomach pain
  • Bloody/loose/clay-coloured stools
  • Headache with severe dizziness
  • Fast and pounding heartbeats
  • Fatigue and loss of appetite
  • Yellowing of the skin/eyesr
  • Swelling of face/tongue
  • Skin pain with rashes that spreads and causes blistering and peeling
  • Fever and sore throat

CHECK IF YOU ARE ALLERGIC

Do not use ORGAZEE if you are allergic to drugs like clarithromycin, erythromycin, or telithromycin.

This is not recommended to those who have been affected by jaundice or liver problems earlier on taking azithromycin.

KEEP IN MIND

Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to get pregnant to know if the tablets could harm your foetus. Nursing mothers also need to make sure if it is safe to use these while breast-feeding.

You are more prone to sunburns while using ORGAZEE tablets. Protect yourselves from direct exposure to sunlight.

Patients with significant liver problems should be cautious while taking these tablets as it has been reported to cause life-threatening liver failure

DRUG INTERACTIONS

Certain antacids that contain aluminum and magnesium reduce the effectiveness of ORGAZEE when co-administered. Some of them are Acid Gone, Aldroxicon, Alternagel, Di-Gel, Gaviscon, Gelusil, Genaton, Maalox, Milk of Magnesia, Pepcid, Rolaids, Rulox and others. Avoid consuming such antacids two hours before or after taking ORGAZEE.

Nelfinavir or blood thinners like warfarin, Coumadin, jantoven, etc can react wrongly when co-administered.

DID YOU MISS IT?

Do not take more doses to make up for your missed dose. You could either take it as soon as you remember it or you could just skip it.
