WHAT DOES IT TREAT?

It is used in the treatment of Heart failure, Cancer, Muscular dystrophy, Periodontal disease, High cholesterol, Male infertility, Brain development disorders, Over active thyroid, Lyme disease, Eye diseases, Asthma, Chronic fatigue syndrome and Mood disorders

MODE OF ACTION

MIQ- LC contains Co-enzyme Q-10, a co-factor for certain mitochondrial enzymes. It transfers electrons between flavoproteins and cytochromes. CoQ10 plays a vital role in cellular energy production.
L- carnitine helps transport fatty acids into the mitochondria. Hence, they can be used as a fuel to generate ATP or adenosine triphosphate. It is important for heart and brain function, muscle movement and other processes.
The antioxidant lycopene helps protect cells from damage.
The zinc selenium components take care that the free radicals do not damage the blood vessels and tissues.

HOW TO USE?

MIQ- LC is to be taken once daily. The amount varies according to your health condition. It is advised to be taken after food owing to its reliance on food for its absorption .

CHECK IF YOU ARE ALLERGIC

MIQ- LC does not usually cause an allergic reaction. But, report to your doctor, in case you show up insignificant indications

KEEP IN MIND

MIQ- LC might interfere with blood pressure control during and after surgery. Discontinue MIQ- LC at least two weeks before the commencement of your surgery.
Patients on chemotherapy treatment should use this drug with caution.
To be on the safer side, avoid using MIQ- LC during pregnancy and breast- feeding.
Smoking can reduce the effect of the medication.
Do not use this medication if you have prostate cancer, auto immune diseases or hypothyroidism.

DRUG INTERACTIONS

some medications for cancer interact with MIQ- LC. Consult with your doctor before using this drug.
Co- administering of MIQ- LC along with the medications for high blood pressure causes the blood pressure to go too low.
Using MIQ- LC with warfarin(coumadin) decreases its effectiveness and increases the risk of blood clotting.
Acenocoumarol(Sintrom) might interfere with this medication and slow down the blood clotting too much.
Sedative medicines should not be used alongwith MIQ- LC since the effects and side- effects may be increased.

DID YOU MISS IT?

You could skip a dose if it is time for your next dose. Over dosing is not to be done to make up for the missed dose.
